A Post! A Post! PDF Print E-mail

So this post is for the person who thought it had been too long since my last writing. I've been a little preoccupied to say the least. Most of my recent time has been spent in World of Warcraft. I suppose now is as good a time as any to write something, as there is certainly a problem I am facing with WoW. You see, I've only just come back after a very long hiatus from the game, and I already find myself at a crossroads with it. On the one hand, after a few months of work I am now in very good gear, able to do most of the highest content in the game. On the downside, I am facing a huge time commitment to stay with the game and push towards the top. There is a small mountain of games waiting to be played, and I have little chance of getting to them unless I kick the WoW addiction again.

Strangely enough, this dilemma is mostly rooted in the fact that once you reach a certain point in WoW, there occurs a very distinct increase in commitment level required to get-to and stay-at the top of the game. I come from a background of hardcore EverQuest raiding, but this is a period of life back when adulthood had not entirely struck with its responsibility-wielding force. Now that life doesn't cease responsibility once the clock strikes 3:00pm, I find that I need to compromise my fun-time activities more and more often. So after a few server transfers, a few guild changes, and a lot of research of gameplay, gear, locations, and bosses, I find myself comfortably in the position of having to decide if this whole raid commitment level thing is worth it.

On the back-burner I have the following games waiting to be played: Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Farcry 2, Mass Effect, Torchlight, GRID, and the usual battery of stand-by FPS games like CoD4 and Team Fortress 2. It goes without saying that I don't necessarily desire to let these excellent titles rot in my hard drive. I want to play them!

Not to mention the new gaming console we just got with all the new games and accessories, but that is a topic for my next writing.

As always, leave some comments in the section below and thanks for reading :)

Creed - Full Circle - Album Review PDF Print E-mail

Creed Full Circle ThumbnailFrom the rock genius of the "My Own Prison" album, to the painful self destruction of the band's 2000-era years, I have weathered being a fan of the rock supergroup Creed. I have felt blissfull, sad, angry, and uplifted by Creed but more specifically Scott Stapp's public arc throughout rock music. Scott Stapp and band members Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips, Brian Marshall has been on a now definitive journey in this music industry and in general, life. This journey is captured in Full Circle, the newest album from the heavy rocking group. It may not be the absolute best work Creed has done, but it rests in the highest echelon with songs that are memorable and very thought provoking. This is an outstanding album and I will review the album after the link.
